Oh high school, how things were so complicated, and unbelievably easy. You could define yourself with a t-shirt, with a group of musicians you didn't know and probably wouldn't have liked had you known them.

That said, Type O Negative was a band I never got into full on. But I had the above album Bloody Kisses for two reasons. One is the two lipstick femmes having an undeniably good time with each other. I like it when people are happy! And two, I really enjoyed the song BLACK N0.1. Especially on Halloween. It has a certain creepy, slitherly feeling in between its rock undercurrent. Is it laughable in some ways? Yeah, I guess you could say that. Dude's singing with a Dracula lisp for cripes sake... But, the bassline, the Adams family harpsichord, the chorus, and this video (not the best quality, nor is it the entire song (which is a good thing because the real version goes on too long (like most Type o Negative songs))) are a pleasant reminder of a time where I actually believed dental implant fangs were a good idea.
